Exodus 33:14 “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
As many families around the world, the start of school creates a different schedule for the household than the summer. Parents become overwhelmed with the preparation of lunches, completing homework, designing projects, ironing of clothes, car pool lines, extra-curricular activities, and attending PTO meetings. This schedule lasts for 180 days. During these 180 days, children are exhausted as well as parents. However, during the summer many families take vacations to get rest and change their scenery from the school routine.
The scripture states, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” In this scripture, rest is not referring to the same rest received from a vacation. This scripture is alluding to the calmness and tranquility when you walk with God. When we rest in God’s presence, we have victory, comfort, and protection. Quit running from God and walk with Him.
I welcome Your presence in my life. I will walk with You daily. When You walk with me, tranquility is in my life. Regardless of my trials and tribulations, Your presence provides comfort for me. I give thanks for Your presence!
