Psalm 34: 1-8
God is good all the time and all the time God is good. This is not just a cliché! God is good to us all the time. He is good even when we do not deserve his goodness. His love is real and genuine. In the beginning of this Psalm, David announces “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth”. David is saying no matter whom he is around he will bless the Lord at all times. Do you want to praise God, but worried about who is watching you? Do you want to break out in praise, but scared of what people will say? Well, take David’s advice! Praise God under any circumstances because he is worthy of the praise. Then Psalm 34:8 says, “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” The scripture says TASTE and SEE! This is an aspect you have to experience personally. A prime example of this would be paying tithes. God asks us for ten percent of our first fruits and he would pour back so much that it would overflow out of the windows. Noticed he did not say doors, but out of windows. Think of an average house size. There are more windows than doors! Therefore, because God is so good to us, we should praise him ALL the time. We should not let anything or anyone hinders us from praising God because He is good. Most Sovereign God, I come before you requesting you to remove anything or anyone that hinders or attempts to hinder me from praising you. You are Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Rapha, Jehovah Shalom, and Jehovah Nissi. You are everything to me and you deserve all the praise! This I pray! Amen! Copyrighted 2014 by Edwina D.
