![]() 13-15 My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he’s listening. And if we’re confident that he’s listening, we know that what we’ve asked for is as good as ours (The Message Bible; Eugene Peterson, 2002) In this piece of scripture about prayer, God promises to do three things. The three things are:
Father, We seek Your wisdom and the Holy Spirit guidance as we pray daily. God provide us with scripture that we may meditate on while You speak to us. The more we marinate in Your word the more we will understand Your ways. This we pray. Amen. Scripture Reflections Colossians 1:9-10 9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, James 1:5 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
