Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (KJV).
2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (KJV). We make plans daily! Plans to go on vacation, plans to attend a certain college, and plans to pursue dreams and aspirations for our future. We often plan our future, but when our plans fail we become upset with God. We fail to realize that our plans are not God’s plans. God’s plans are not laid out; they are not scheduled, nor written down. God’s ultimate plan is for us to seek Him and give Him glory in all we do. Many times we plan in our power instead of God’s power. The scripture says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thine ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path” (KJV). Just because our plans failed does not mean God does not love us. It means He does love us and He is protecting us from harm we are not able to see. Let me share a story. I knew a young lady that desired to work for a particular company, but every time she applied for a job she was rejected by the company. Well, ten years later, the company she once pursued closed their doors and everyone lost their job. The young lady plans were to work for the company. However, God plans were to protect her from losing her job. He knew the company would close their doors, therefore He did not allow her to obtain a job with the company. He directed a path that would be secure for her. In all the rejections the young lady received, it worked out for her good. She was not a part of the company closing. What we must understand that God keeps His Promises. He promises to take care of us and provide for us. In Numbers 23:19, it states that God is not a man that shall lie. Therefore, when it does not look good, stand still and watch God. God holds the world in his hand. He can do the impossible with any situation. Heavenly Father, I worship and adore you. God, keep me grounded with my mind stayed on you. Although the situation may not look good, I must trust you when I cannot trace you. I will seek you first in all my plans, goals, and endeavors because you are the sovereign one. In Jesus’ Name, Amen ©2014 by Edwina Perrin. All rights reserved. |
