Psalm 95: 2-3 “Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods” (NIV).
The echoes of loud screams and roars through the atmosphere made everyone stop on the golf course stop to see what all of the excitement was. I leaped from the golf cart to explore all of the action. All I could see was my son and his dad running towards the hole screaming and giving each other high fives. The parents of the opponents were smiling and celebrating as if he was there child. However, it was my son who had made a hole-in-one on hole number three at “Jehovah Country Club”. My son was so excited, but not too excited to give God praises. He thanked God rest of the night! My son always prays before ever taking the golf clubs out of the car. It is not that he’s reminded of this sacred moment. He does this without parental supervision. At the age of 14, my son is not ashamed of the gospel. I am so thankful that at an early age he learned about Christ the Savior and accepted him as his Savior. I will not be ashamed of the GOSPEL. I will praise God wherever I am. If someone has a problem with the way I praise God, then shame on them. For the scripture Luke 19:40 declares, "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out” (NIV). I do not want a rock crying out for me because God has been too good to me. He has been too good for me to keep my mouth closed. Heavenly Father, I will praise your name no matter where I am. You have been good to my household and we will forever praise your name. I will praise your name in my triumphs and through my trials. In Jesus’ name, AMEN! Reflection: Do not be ashamed of the GOSPEL! If someone has a problem with your excitement for God, asked them did they hang on the cross for you. Copyrighted 2015 by Edwina D. Perrin. All rights reserved. |
