3 “Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy. While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard. She broke open the jar and poured the perfume over his head.” What jars do you need to break to receive the Holy Spirit? Mary did not just open the jar; she broke the jar sacrificing the use of it again. Key word here is sacrifice. She did not care about the jar because she was making an ultimate sacrifice for Jesus. Many people frown and complained because this was expensive oil they felt should not have be wasted. However, Mary did not let the “Nay sayers” ruin her opportunity to worship Jesus! That is the attitude we have to have when it comes to worshiping and praising Jesus. We have to break out and not care who is watching or looking because in the end we want to be caught up in the rapture. We want to see His face! Daily, give God your best WORSHIP because He gives us His best at ALL the time. Most Precious Jesus, I want to give YOU my best at all times. No matter where I am or who is around me I am going to give YOU my best worship and praise. God, You have been so good to me that I cannot help but to praise you. Psalm 62:2 "Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken."(NIV)
No matter what I am going through I will not be shaken. There is nothing the enemy can throw at me that will shake my faith. Sickness won't shake me! Bills won't shake me! My enemies won't shake me. My job won't shake me! Rumors woke shake me! Nothing will shake me because He is my rock and my fortress. He's my help in the time of a storm. He's my leaning post. He's my battleaxe! He's my wheel in the middle of the wheel. Devil give me your best shot because I will not be shaken! There's no devil in hell can shake me. I stand on God's word and His promises! I won't be shaken! I can't be shaken! For years, I would not speak to the people who hurt me. My path would cross there path and I would not engage in conversation with them. I would not visit my home church because there were people in my home church who worked for the local school district and were not advocates for me to be hired. HURT, PAIN, and DISAPPOINMENT these people caused me! There was so much pain and agony because these were church members and family members that did not help me. Church hurt can be the most devastating hurt one can endure.
As I pray this prayer, may God deliver anyone from unforgiveness. Unleash the hurt and unforgiveness to God in the name of Jesus. Heavenly Father, Give us the ability to love and forgive those who have caused us to hurt in our spirit. God help us to love them in spite of what they may have said or done to us. Pour into us the spirit of love and forgiveness that we may be free in the name of Jesus! God heal our broken hearts and remove this pain in order that we may be free. In the name of Jesus, Amen! |
