A Spiritual Warfare

11/30/2015

Comments

As you know, I normally post on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.  However, I have been in spiritual warfare this weekend. When you give radical praise to God in the midst of your trials, the enemy gets mad.  The enemy becomes mad because you are defeating him with the WORD. The enemy comes like a roaring lion to devour you (1 Peter 5:8). The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

We encounter spiritual warfare daily. This is why God's word says to put on the WHOLE ARMOUR of GOD (Ephesians 6).  God also tell us to STUDY (2 Timothy 2:15) His word so that we can stand on His Promises.  Then Jesus said, in John 14:27, he will give you peace. Therefore, you do not have be agitated, disturbed, or distracted by the devil.

The Lord has given me scripture for anyone who may be dealing with spiritual warfare.

Isaiah 61:1
Psalm 34
Psalm 56
Psalm 73
Psalm 147:3
John 14:27

Heavenly Father,
I come before You lifting up anyone who is going through a spiritual warfare right now. I declare and decree Your hedge of protection. No weapon form against us may prosper.  As prayer warriors, we come in Your name to dismantle any demonic force that attempts to frustrate their calling You have put on their life.
Father, we claim V-I-C-T-O-R-Y in Your name.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Thinking of God Makes Me Thankful!

11/22/2015

Comments

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I think of Your Goodness, I can’t help but to be thankful.  God, I thank You for blessing me with health and strength.  When I think about the blessings You have provided for me, I can’t help but to give You thanks.  Thank You for blessing me with:

Eyes to look to the hills which cometh my help (Psalm 121)
Hands to wave and praise you (Psalm 63:4)
Legs to spread the Gospel (Mark 16: 15)
Mind to read Your word (2 Timothy 2:15)
Feet to worship and dance You (2 Samuel 6:14)
Family who loves God (Joshua 24:15)
Friends who love me (Luke 6:31)
Air in my lungs to call God’s name (Job 27)

God I thank You for the mountains, I thank You for the valleys, I thank You for the storms, and the trials because if I had not gone through the storms I would not know how to call Your name. Thank You Jesus! Thank You Master!  Thank You King of Kings and Lord of Lords! He’s Alpha and Omega! He’s a Wonderful Counselor!

In Jesus Name,
Amen!

As we prepare for the season of Thanksgiving, I want you and your household to reflect over the following scriptures. Have your children to recite these scriptures daily so they will understand the importance of giving thanks.
Write these scriptures down and put them around the house to show God you are THANKFUL for everything HE has done.  He’s El-Shadi, Jehovah-Jireh, and Elohim, therefore let’s give  THANKS!

Psalm 95:2-3
1 Corinthians 1:4-8
2 Corinthians 4: 15-16
1 Chronicles 16:34
Psalm 7:17
Psalm 28:7
Psalm 100:4
Psalm 106:1
Isaiah 12:4
Jeremiah 33:11
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Heavenly Father,
I give thanks to You! Thank you Jesus!  I just praise Your name. From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same!  You are worthy!!!
In Jesus Name,
Amen!

The Parking Lot

Luke 6:28
bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

On Wednesday morning, I dropped my son off at school early to receive tutoring in Honors Algebra II.  Well, I had no idea there was a particular parking lot to drop him off. As he was getting out of the car, a rambunctious teacher jumped out of her car and began yelling at him. I, then, let down the passenger window and told her not yell at him.  I told her to talk to me about dropping him off in the wrong parking lot.

I was the adult and the one driving; therefore she should have talk to me in an appropriate tone. She refused to stop yelling at him and continued to scream at him. My flesh wan
ted to blast her and say unkind words. However, the Holy Spirit whispered to me and said “You are better than that.” I immediately knew that I had to obey.

Many times we let the flesh win and make matters worse. I am so glad I listen to the Holy Spirit because it allowed me to set an example for my son and the other students that were walking in the parking lot. The Holy Spirit will warn you and protect your from danger if you will only listen.  Listening to the Holy Spirit means you are submitting to God’s will.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the Holy Spirit!  I won’t be lead wrong with the Holy Spirit guiding me.
In Jesus name,
Amen!

I Shall Speak Excellence

He that hath knowledge spareth his words: [and] a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit (Proverbs 17:27).

It is easy to become negative when we are going through bad times in our life. We tend to develop a negative thought process and begin to speak negative words.  As we are speaking those negative things, we are only causing more pain to ourselves and magnifying the situation. The scripture tells us that life and death lies in the power of the tongue and whoever loves it will eat of its fruit. Your tongue is a small organ that can cause an enormous amount of pain.

The next time you are dealing with trials and tribulations speak excellence about the God you serve.  Tell your trial how mighty and powerful your God is.  Tell your tribulation how God will make you triumphant in the situation.  Speak positive things over yourself, your children, and your household. An excellent spirit is a spirit of trusting God and having faith that you are more than a conqueror.

Heavenly Father,
No matter what I am going through I will speak of Your excellence during my trial.  I will rejoice in Your name.  I will be steadfast and unmovable in Your name.  How excellent is thy name!  You are worthy to be praise!
In Jesus name,
Amen!
