![]() Heavenly Father, We want to take time out to pray. God we thank You for all You have done for us. Thank You for caring and loving us even when we disobey Your commandments. We are so grateful for all the blessings You continue to give us. Thank You for life, health, and strength. You are worthy to be praise from the rising of the sun until the going down of the same. You are our mighty battle axe. You are our strong tower. Father, we are so hungry for Your love. Lord, help us not forget that You are the bread of life. Lord, help me not forget how essential it is to read Your word daily. Strengthen us, Father that we may be able to withstand whatever the day and week may bring. We give You the glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus' name, Amen Copyrighted 2016 by Edwina D. Perrin. On last week, the women of my church enjoyed our "Life in Balance" women's conference. This conference consists of several activities throughout the week learning how to create a more balance life. On Friday night, I conducted a workshop on "How full is your plate?". Ecclesiastes 4 was the text I used to conduct this workshop. In verse 6 of Ecclesiastes, Solomon discusses that some people are lazy while others are workaholics. Solomon explained that both extremes are irresponsible. Therefore, we should work in moderation and enjoy what God has blessed us with. Therefore, I ask you this question. How full is your plate? Are you enjoying life or just existing because you have so much on your plate? If you are enjoying life, that is awesome. If you just exist because you are too busy, take a look in the mirror and ask yourself what are you hiding from. Heavenly Father, Daily help me live a balanced life. Correct me when I allow life to get me off balance. May Your gentle voice and touch remind me of what is most important. As long as You are my first priority, I will live a balanced life. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’19 “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’20 “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’21 “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’22 “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24 I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’” (Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV® Copyright ©1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.) This morning in our women's study we discussed the Parable of the Great Banquet. Jesus used this parable to show us the excuses we make on a daily basis when it comes to serving Him. Daily we make excuses of why we don't attend Bible study, Sunday school, or church on Sunday mornings. Within this parable, invitations were given to various people to attend a banquet. However, Jesus only focuses on three of the excuses that were made. Jesus clearly demonstrated to us that we often make excuses for our convenience. All of the guest knew about the banquet, but gave priority to other areas of their life. What are you giving priority to over God? What is your excuse? Heavenly Father, Forgive me for any excuse I have used when it came to serving You. God help me keep You as priority in my life. Help me with balancing You, myself, family, work, and church in my daily life. In Jesus Name, Amen © 2016 Edwina D. Perrin. God is near us at all times. With Him we are more than a conqueror (Romans 8: 31-39). God will never leave us nor forsake His children. God delivered Paul out of many horrible circumstances, therefore Paul is expressing to us to hold on and don’t give up because God will rescue His children. Therefore, whatever may have you beaten down; know that you are not out as long as God is on your side. God can use whatever He wants to reveal His glory. Heavenly Father, I thank You for all You have done for me during my trials, tribulations, and my good days. God, You are worthy to be praised. God, give me direction on whatever I may need direction on. Jesus, give me direction how to raise my child(ren) and whatever You have entrusted me with. I need You to survive!
