Deuteronomy 1:6-8
“Back at Horeb, God, our God, spoke to us: “You’ve stayed long enough at this mountain. On your way now. Get moving. Head for the Amorite hills, wherever people are living in the Arabah, the mountains, the foothills, the Negev, the seashore—the Canaanite country and the Lebanon all the way to the big river, the Euphrates. Look, I’ve given you this land. Now go in and take it. It’s the land God promised to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their children after them.” Message (Msg) Copyright © 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002 by Eugene H. Peterson For two years Israel stayed at Mount Horeb and became complacent because life was pleasant. Israel ate well, rest well, and lived a peaceful life. However, Mouth Horeb, the Holy Mountain, was not the destination of Israel’s journey, but part of their journey to the Promise Land. They had to move out to fulfill the promise of God. Mount Horeb was a place of instruction and preparation NOT their destination. The spirit of complacency often causes us to get “stuck” in a comfort zone and causes us to miss blessings God has for us. Therefore, don’t get stuck! Trust God to lead you as you explore life and try new adventures. It took Israel to leave Mount Horeb to get to the Promise Land. Is God telling you to move for you to experience your “Promise Land”? Heavenly Father, Please don’t allow the spirit of complacency block the blessings You have for me. Give me a listening ear as You guide my footsteps along this journey. Your voice and only Your voice will I listen to! In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen! Copyrighted 2017 by Edwina D. Perrin. All rights reserved. Eternal Father,
We apply the Blood over every household that has children going to daycare, grade school, college, graduate school, or any university. We apply the Blood over every educational institution in the world. We apply the Blood over the teachers, guidance counselors, care givers, nurses, administrators, secretaries, teacher assistants, custodians, food service, bus drivers, school board, and any others that may come in contact with our children. As parents, we declare and decree blessings over our children lives this school year. Every diabolical attack has to cease at the name of Jesus. We dismantle anything that attempts to frustrate our school year in the name of Jesus. No peer pressure shall plague our children or oppress our children. Our children will walk in the boldness of Jesus. When their instructors see them, they will call them blessed. Their peers will call them blessed. Their coaches will call them blessed. Whatever our children hands touch will be prosperous. Wherever our children walk, the land will belong to them. Our children will put their focus on God and nobody else. Social media will not be a distraction to our children, but a means to share the blessings of God. As we rise early in the morning as a family, we will give God the praises for the new day. Together as a family, we will seek God to order our steps during day. Oh God, bend your ears to our prayers for our children as they return to their educational institutions. In Jesus Name, Amen! Daily help me live a life of balance. Correct me when I allow the activities of life, stress, and issues cause me to lose balance in life. Let me hear Your gentle voice reminding me to seek You for a balance life! You are my first priority of my day! Lord, I love You! In Jesus Name, Amen! ![]() Father In Heaven, We thank You for our Red Sea experiences because they draw us closer to You. God, in Your word You stated, "We are more than a conqueror" and we walk in authority because of Your word. Although we are having a Red Sea experience, You are in the midst of the test. Our test becomes our testimony and our mess becomes a message to spread the Gospel. You are the Sovereign God and the Almighty God; therefore we will trust You during our Red Sea experience. The setback will be a comeback that will launch us to our destiny. Thank You Lord in advance for the victory! In His Precious Name, Amen Copyrighted 2017 by Edwina D. Perrin. All rights reserved. |
