Psalm 121 1-2 (KJV) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Heavenly Father, I come to You for restoration. Restore back my health, my mind, my focus on You, my soul, my finances, and my heart. I have allowed distractions to take my focus off of You. Forgive me! Heal me! Please direct my path back to You, the Sovereign one. You are the Almighty One! I have allowed work, children, spouse, family, friends, church, and extracurricular activities distract me from spending intimate time with you. God, redirect my path and teach me how to have a balance with spending time with You and all of my other activities. Father, I will rise early before my family wakes up and spend time with You. As I command my morning, I will command the morning for my family, friends, church family, and my coworkers. I will plead the blood over my home, my children’s school, my workplace, and my spouse workplace. I declare and decree that no diabolical attack will interrupt the day. When I feel distracted or have lost focus, I will look to the hills, which cometh my help. I will keep my mind stayed on You. In Jesus name, Amen! Copyrighted 2015 by Edwina D. “Oh my, I have overslept!” “I hit snooze too many times.” “I am going to be late.” As I maneuvered to the kitchen to make a smoothie, I retrieved the ingredients from the refrigerator and put them in the NutriBullet. I then turn on the NutriBullet to only find out that I did not put the lid on tightly. “Oh my, I am already late and now this happens.” I then whisper a small prayer, “God, help me right now!” Next, I dashed out the door headed for work to discover there had been a major car incident. I instantly remembered the prayer I had prayed and the fact God answered it. How many of us have overslept or been late for work to only find out it was for our protection? God’s is always protecting us. Yet, we fail to realize or acknowledge His presence and protection. I did not over sleep by coincidence on that morning. That was God’s plan to protect me from being in a car accident. God shelters us even when we do not understand what is going on. When we did not get the job, it was for our good because the plant closed down two years later. When we did not get the house in the particular neighborhood, it was for our good because the house was infested with termites. The word “refuge” means shelter from danger. The scripture tells us that He is our refuge and our strength when we are in trouble. Daily, He has His hands on us, around us, and covering us. Thank you for Your continuous protection. Almighty God, Thank You for continuously watching over me and covering me. I thank You for strengthen the hedge of protection around my family, friends, church, neighbors, and the community. Lord, I plead the blood because there is power in Your blood. What an awesome God! In Jesus name, Amen! Copyrighted 2015 by Edwina D. Perrin All rights reserved. O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Psalm 63: 1 & 2 (NKJV).
Life can sometimes leave you drained and empty. The children needing you, your spouse is needing you, friends are calling you, the job is pulling on you, your ministries at church are pulling on you, the children’s project has to be completed, the cookies have to be baked, dinner has to be cooked, and you still have laundry to do. Wow! Have you ever felt that way? You are tossed and pulled in every direction and you are worn. It seems as everything and everyone has withdrawn from you, taken from you, and drained you of everything you have. It is like an ATM machine with a message of “Out of Service” because it has no money inside to be withdrawn. Just as an empty ATM machine has to be replenished your soul and body has to be replenished. This is when you need a direct deposit from God. A direct deposit from God is a direct touch from Him! You are so empty from all of the worldly things that you need Him to refill you because your soul is thirsty. Many times we allow the daily activities of the world withdraw too much from us. That’s why it is necessary for us to pick up our word daily and allow the word to refill us. In John 10:10 (NKJV), “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly”. Too many withdrawals can rob you of your anointing and destroy you. It is a must to seek God early and command your morning! Daily ask God for a direct deposit of His anointing, love, and power! Heavenly Father, I need a direct deposit from You. Pour out a fresh anointing and fill me up. God fill the emptiness and filled it with Your love. In Jesus name, Amen! Copyrighted 2015 by Edwina D. Perrin All rights reserved. Genesis 16
Have you ever interfered with God’s plan, made a mess of the situation, and then blamed someone else? In this particular chapter of Genesis, Abram and Sarai still had no children after God had promise them they would. Due to the fact Sarai was getting older and barren, she did not believe the promise God had made. Sarai took matters into her hands and told Abram he could sleep with her maid. Hagar, Sarai’s maid, slept with Abram and conceived a son. Hagar would name him Ishmael. Although Sarai insisted that Abram and Hagar have relations, Sarai began to despise Hagar. She became bitter and had no problems showing how she felt towards Hagar. The interaction between Sarai and Hagar became so intense until Hagar ran away. Just as Sarai interfered with God’s plan we often do the same thing. We cannot count the amount of times we have interfered with God’s plan and He still loves us and comes to our rescue. In Psalm 27:14, it tells us to wait on the Lord. We must have unwavering faith that if God says it, He will do it. Read Isaiah 55: 11 where He states His will word will not return void. Know that God keeps His promises and our timetable is not His timetable. Heavenly Father, I thank you for love, grace, and mercy. God forgive me for being impatient. Forgive me for jumping ahead of Your plans and making a mess of the situation. God from this day forth I will wait on Your plans. In Jesus Name, Copyrighted 2015 by Edwina D. Perrin.
