Psalm 34: 1-8
God is good all the time and all the time God is good. This is not just a cliché! God is good to us all the time. He is good even when we do not deserve his goodness. His love is real and genuine. In the beginning of this Psalm, David announces “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth”. David is saying no matter whom he is around he will bless the Lord at all times. Do you want to praise God, but worried about who is watching you? Do you want to break out in praise, but scared of what people will say? Well, take David’s advice! Praise God under any circumstances because he is worthy of the praise. Then Psalm 34:8 says, “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” The scripture says TASTE and SEE! This is an aspect you have to experience personally. A prime example of this would be paying tithes. God asks us for ten percent of our first fruits and he would pour back so much that it would overflow out of the windows. Noticed he did not say doors, but out of windows. Think of an average house size. There are more windows than doors! Therefore, because God is so good to us, we should praise him ALL the time. We should not let anything or anyone hinders us from praising God because He is good. Most Sovereign God, I come before you requesting you to remove anything or anyone that hinders or attempts to hinder me from praising you. You are Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Rapha, Jehovah Shalom, and Jehovah Nissi. You are everything to me and you deserve all the praise! This I pray! Amen! Copyrighted 2014 by Edwina D. Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preached deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised; To preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (KJV).
To be anointed means to be set a part for service. The Holy Spirit then gives the anointed one the empowerment to work in the anointing. The Hebrew translation for the verb to anoint is mashiach and is the root of messiah, which means “anointed one.” The exclusive exercise of anointing, by pouring oil on the head, was used as a symbolic act for officially designating and setting apart a person for a certain, public, leadership function in the community. It was a one-time event much like an inauguration of a new president. This anointing was usually appointed to kings, priests, & prophets. Some of us are anointed to be an usher, but because we do not like the uniforms we will not usher. Some of us are anointed to sing in the choir, but because we cannot lead every song we will get mad and will not sing at all. Some of us have been anointed to preach the gospel, but will not accept our calling because we are worried about what people will say. What we need to understand is the anointing is not for you. It is to bring deliverances to the captives. We thank God for the anointing. The anointing is to bring deliverance, healed wounded and the sick. When the anointing is over you, it does not matter what you are going through, your anointing will see you through. The way to confuse the enemy is through your worship because you are anointed serve! Dear God, I thank you for the anointing you have placed on my life. With the anointing upon my life, no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall be condemn (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV). Your anointing is powerful enough to declare dominion and authority over the enemy! Activate your anointing daily by serving God’s people. You are ANOINTED TO SERVE! AMEN! Needless to say, we do not know the day or hour that Christ will return. Christ has not given us any inkling of when he will return. We just need to be ready for judgment day. If you are ready, this will be a joyful day to the righteous. However, for the ungodly Christ’s return will be terrible. Do not get caught being unprepared for return for Christ! Ecclesiastes 8:5 says, “Whoever obeys the command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure” (NIV). Will you be ready when God crack the sky? Will you be caught up? Are you ready for the Rapture? When you get a moment, read 1 Thessalonians Chapters 4 and 5 as it will explain the coming back of Christ. There are three particular actions that will take place when Jesus calls us out of the world: (1) Lord himself will descend from heaven and shout (2) The voice of the archangel and (3) The trumpet shall sound. Are you ready? Dear God, I want to be ready when Jesus comes. God, daily I prepare to get my house ready for the Rapture. God remove anything that is not like You or of You! I want to be caught up! For we serve a God who can raise the dead. For we serve a God that can heal any illness. For we know him as Jehovah Rapha (the Healer). How many of you know him to be healer? How many of you know God can touch your body and heal you from any iniquity you may have? How many of you know that if God does not heal you on this side He will heal you on the other side? On the other side, there will be no more sickness, no more black wreaths, and no more cemeteries. Is there a doctor in the house? A doctor to heal your arthritis, a doctor to heal your hypertension, a doctor to heal your allergies, a doctor to heal your chronic headaches, a doctor to heal your lupus, a doctor to heal your prostate cancer, a doctor to heal your breast cancer, a doctor to heal your colon cancer. We know a doctor that was nailed to the cross. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes we are healed. I am so glad he did not stay on the cross, but early on the third day morning. He got up with all power in his hand. They beat his back with 39 lashes in order to heal your back aches. 72 thorns were put on his head that was for sinus headaches and migraine. They nail his feet for arthritis. They nailed his hands for carpel tunnel in your hands. They pierced in side for the stomach aches. Every time you feel an ache or pain you are to cry out the name Jesus because by his stripes you are healed! Father God, We thank you for staying on the cross for our healing. God, we thank you for the anointing you pour into your physicians to tend to the sick. God we praise you for all of your wonderful works. In Jesus Name, Amen! Copyrighted 2014 by Edwina D. Perrin.
