Psalm 143:8 “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.”
Father, God, in the name of Jesus I declare Your Lordship over my day. As you begin your day, take authority of your day. Proclaim that every element has to align itself with your destiny that God has planned for you. Your words have power. If you want to see your life renewed and refreshed, begin your day by commanding it. The Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (KJV Proverbs 18:21). As you begin your morning, welcome your morning with boundless expectancy of the amazing things God has in store for you! Let us pray…Dear God, I command my day to have a fresh awareness, fresh anointing, and a fresh passion. I command any diabolical appointment that tries to vex my day to flee at the name of Jesus. At the name of Jesus, the devil has to flee. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Copyrighted 2014 by Edwina D. Perrin All rights reserved. 1 Kings 3:16-28
There is no doubt that Solomon was the key player in this scripture. We read how Solomon executed the wisdom that God gave him by making a judgment call that returned a baby to his mother. But there were two other characters that should be noted as well, the two mothers. These two mothers were harlots; we know them today as prostitutes. Before we start judging these women because of their lifestyles, let me say none of us are perfect. We all have sin and come short of the glory. There was none perfect, but the man who died on the cross, but got up with all power. Romans 3:23-24 tells us “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (KJV). Mothers quit trying to be perfect and rely on God to lead and direct you as you raise your children. The scripture says, “Trust in the Lord God with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path” (Proverbs 3:5-6 KVJ). Dear God, I thank you for your GRACE and MERCY. I am so glad that I can come to you for forgiveness because you died on Calvary for me. Thank you for shedding your blood for me. In Jesus Name, Amen! “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him" (KJV). Do you remember when you were in school and the teacher would give you a test? In preparation for the test, you would take notes, make flash cards, or even read the book for the course. Well, that is exactly what we have to do to pass the test of life. We have to take notes, make flash cards, and even read the BOOK. The book is the Bible. The Bible entails every answer to every test you may encounter in life. If you want to pass the test, read your book (Bible) daily and watch God provide the answers for you! Dear God, Help me to become a better reader of your word. God, I ask you to help me overcome any obstacle that may hinder me from attending Bible Study or Church School. Lord, endow me with your word. In Jesus Name, Amen! Copyrighted 2014 by Edwina D. Perrin All rights reserved. Have you ever applied for a job that you knew you had the qualifications, but you were not offered the job or even given an interview? When you received the letter of rejection, your confidence was deflated and your heart became overwhelmed with pain. Your love ones try to comfort you; however nothing seems to ease the pain. The scripture in Psalms 61:2 states, "From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I" (KJV).
When disappointments take place in your life, they can overwhelm you and cause you to question your capabilities of being successful. However, we must remember Isaiah 55: 8, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord (KJV)." Then in Jeremiah 29:11 God declares, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (KJV). Although, you were not offered the job or even given an interview, just know God knows the plans he has for you. The disappointment of not getting the job is not your destination to your future because God has his hands on you. Dear God, Please help me to remember my disappointments are not my destinations to my future. God strengthen my mind and heart so when disappointments take place in my life, it is just the path to the future God has ordained. In Jesus Name, AMEN! Copyrighted 2014 by Edwina D.
