"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
Almighty God, Our Father and Redeemer hear our prayers of despair. When life has left us beaten and battered, turn Your ear to us and hear our cry. God we come to You with broken hearts and confused mind. We call on You to break the chains off anyone that may be dealing with hurt, disappointment, or pain in their lives. God renew our strength and give us peace that surpassess all understanding. You are the God of hope. Although we cannot see past this pain, we will put our trust in You. You are the Sovereign One! For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. It blows my mind to know that God knows EVERYTHING about us. He knows when we sit, when we rise, when we eat, when we drink, when we are sleep, when we are awake, and we could go on and on. He knows our very thoughts before we even think them. That is an all-powerful and knowing God. With God we don’t have to worry about being misunderstood because He created us. Regardless of what mistakes we make in life, we are still special to God. We can take the mask off and just lay before His presence. We don’t have to keep up with the Joneses or the Smiths to be loved by God. He loves us unconditionally! He loves faults and all! Because God created us, we are beautiful in every way. It does not matter whether you are short, tall, skinny, curvy, or etc. Everything God created was good! He loved us so much He gave up His only begotten Son for our sins. Heavenly Father, You created us! Therefore, we say thank You. We are so glad we do not have to hide our imperfections to be in Your presence. You know all about us! We love You God and we love ourselves because You created us. We thank You for going to the Cross for us. We thank You for the Blood that You shed on Calvary. Jesus, help us to remember the Cross daily. We celebrate the goodness of You and how You conquered death to give us grace and mercy. Oh what a great morning it was when You rose from the dead with all power in Your hands. Jesus, Your death had nothing to do with new Easter clothes, Easter baskets, Easter egg hunts, Easter programs, or Easter candy. Lord, Your death gave us the right to eternal life. Helps us daily to walk in Your mighty grace. Let us have thankful hearts daily for what You did on Calvary. God we give You all the glory and honor. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen! However, we must choose if our mistakes (life experiences) are going to be a restraint or a catapult.
The definition of a restraint is a condition that keeps one within limits. The definition of a catapult is a device which has accumlated pressure and is suddenly released to launch or propel an object in a specific direction. So choose today whether you are going to allow your past to restrain you (withhold you with limitations) or lauch you (propel you into your destination). Heavenly Father, Put your name in this blank: (_____________) is going to use the pressures of my past to catapult me into my destiny. Father, I will trust You during this process. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."(NIV). |
