This is one of the most quoted bible verses in the bible. Roman 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (KJV). There is a great chance you have heard this verse and taken comfort in it. You may have shared its truth with another Christian going through a difficult time.
All things—not some things, not most things, but ALL things will work out for the good of those who trust in the Lord. I am not just talking about what we consider as blessings, but all things include the aches and pains, disappointments and difficulties, or the tears and troubles of this sinful world. God uses his power and wisdom to turn our trials into triumph.
- So you did not get the car in April; it was for your good because the interest rate dropped 2% and this month and you were approved for a 4% interest rate instead of a 6%.
- So you did not get the job last year; it was for your good because the company downside this year and everyone was laid off.
- So you did not get the house; it was for your good because the neighborhood flooded during the rain storm last weekend and the houses were destroyed.
- So the relationship did not last; it was for your good because you found out later he has four kids, by four different women, he has lost his job, and behind on child support.
Just reflect over your life and think about some things you desired, but God said, “NO”. In His NO, he was protecting and sustaining you from dangers seen and unseen. I am so glad that God holds the world in his hands.
Thank you for keeping a hedge of protection around me. I am so glad you are all knowing and you protect me daily with grace and mercy.
In Jesus name,
