For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosover believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (KJV).
God is such a GREAT Father! He gave up his on only Son to give us eternal life. If God gave up his only begotten Son for us, why do we continue to hurt him with our sinful acts? These twenty-five words are powerful.
God gave up his Son, but yet we fell to give him our time by attending Church School, reading the Bible daily, attending Prayer Service or Bible Study. We will find every excuse to why we cannot attend any of the following activities at church. “It’s too early.” “That’s my only day off.” “Church School starts too early.” We make all kind of excuses, but our Father made no excuse to give up his only Son for us to have eternal life. It was God’s grace that allowed him to give up his only Son.
We must have the Agape love for God. This love is selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love. This is the highest type of love in the Bible. Among Christians, Agape came to mean the unearned love God had for people - a love so great that God was willing to send his only begotten Son to suffer and die on our behalf.
So as we celebrate Father’s Day, let’s remember our Heavenly Father. What gift did you give the Heavenly Father today? Did you pay your tithes or offering today? Did you attend church today? Did you worship your Heavenly Father in spirit and truth? Did you thank him for waking you up this morning?
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for being a Father who forgives me daily. I thank you for sacrificing your only Son for me. God it was your Grace that gave the Gift for me to have your Glory! I thank you and praise your name!
In Jesus name I pray,
